Research Interests
Algebraic geometry. I am especially interested in the moduli space of stable maps, moduli space of sheaves (or derived objects) on algebraic curves, surfaces, threefolds or fourfolds; and the corresponding enumerative invariants such as GromovWitten invariants, DonaldsonThomas invariants, GopakumarVafa invariants and VafaWitten invariants. This was inspired by string theory, quantum field theory and gauge theory in theoretical physics. I am also interested in the overlap between birational geometry and enumerative algebraic geometry, for instance the obstruction theory on the moduli of log general type varieties and the virtual fundamental class on the moduli of log general type surfaces.My Research
